Benjamin Messerli
Benjamin Messerli (born November 26, 1991 in Aarau ) is a Swiss hockey player and currently a player in the Swiss U21 national team. He is the twin brother of Dominik Messerli .
Career
Messerli began playing hockey at the age of five at HC Rotweiss Wettingen , to which he returned after working for the English Men Passion Hockey League representative Canterbury Hockey Club (UK) and Geneva. He played in the Euro Hockey League 2011/12 for HC Rotweiss Wettingen, but retired with the team in the first round. He was the top scorer at the U-18 and U-21 European Championships and is currently the top scorer in the National League A with 15 goals. For financial reasons, Messerli is currently a referee in the first division.
