Benjamin Tabart

Benjamin Tabart (c. 1767/8; † 1833 ) was a London bookseller and owner of the Juvenile Library on Bond Street , which published many famous children's books including fairy tales, including fairy tales by Charles Perrault , Marie-Catherine d'Aulnoy and from The Thousand and One Night, as well as versions of popular books such as Valentine and Orson , Fortunatus and Robin Hood . The old English fairy tale The History of Jack and the Beanstalk probably appeared in print for the first time (1807).
