The Bennington Museum is located in Bennington , Vermont, USA .

description

The museum primarily shows handicrafts ( glass ) from the area and major works by the popular painter Grandma Moses (1860–1961). This most prominent American representative of naive art did not begin to paint until she was 75. Around 30 paintings from her work are shown.

There is also a collection for the local production of pottery and earthenware , furniture and globes . There is also a permanent exhibition on the Battle of Bennington during the American Revolutionary War . A single automobile from the Martin-Wasp Corporation illustrates local automobile production between 1920 and 1924. As the car from this luxury brand is the last existing model of 18 cars ever built, it too deserves this honor.
