Benoît Lutgen (born March 10, 1970 in Bastogne ) is a Belgian politician of the Center Démocrate Humaniste (CDH).

Life

The son of the Walloon Christian Democrat Guy Lutgen became general secretary of the CDH , which at that time was still running under the name Christian Social Party , in 2001 . From 2004 to 2009 he was Walloon Minister for Agriculture, Environment and Tourism; then he became Minister of Public Works, Agriculture, Nature, Forests and Cultural Heritage. In 2011 he took over the chairmanship of the cdH from Joëlle Milquet . In January 2019, he was replaced by Maxime Prévot in the party chairmanship. He has been the mayor of Bastogne since 2013.
