User-friendly component

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A user-oriented component , or BNK for short , is a component of a process control system in automation technology . It is used to visualize data from the process level , which are recorded by process-related components (PI), and for the higher-level operation of the process-related components. Examples are the display of the values of a control loop and the change of the control parameters.

Alternative names for the BNK are operator control and observer components ( BKK ), display and operating components ( ABK ) or operator control and monitoring station ( BUB ).

The user- related components are mostly combined in a control center . Standard components are used as hardware , for example PCs or workstations . SCADA and OPC servers are used as software .

The communication between the BNK and the PNK usually takes place via field bus systems ; Modbus , 3964R , Profibus and Industrial Ethernet are common here .
