Andelsbuch mountain railways
The Andelsbuch mountain railways , like the Bezau cable car from the other side, use the Niedere ridge between the communities of Bezau and Andelsbuch as a destination for the ascent facilities. Due to the stable thermals on the "Niedere" ridge, a particularly large number of paragliders are transported to the Niedere launch site.
history
The cable car systems in Andelsbuch-Gerach were built from 1969 to 1971 mainly on the initiative of the builder Guntram Moosbrugger. Guntram Moosbrugger was also head of the Andelsbuch mountain railways until 1986 (formerly: Andelsbucher Großlifte Gerach-Niedere ). In 1986 the Andelsbuch mountain railways were taken over by the municipality of Andelsbuch, the state of Vorarlberg and some shareholders.
Technical specifications
The Andelsbuch mountain railways operate two double chair lifts and five drag lifts in winter and the double chair lifts also in summer. The maximum difference in altitude is 1046 m, the maximum transport capacity: 6383 people / hour.
Winter operation
There are ski runs with a length of around 8 km (six runs and a ski path as well as four marked ski routes).
Summer operation
There are numerous easy, medium and demanding hiking options. From the mountain station of the Andelsbuch - Gerach double chairlift (1st section), an alpine history educational trail begins, which provides information on the Niedere-Winterstaude alpine area and was initiated by Werner Vogt. Summer operation is more limited in time than winter operation.
