Mountain hose

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sailing yacht - at the top of the spinnaker the compressed mountain hose

The hose is a tube with which a spinnaker (also: spi ) or gennaker (also: blister ) can be set or retrieved from the deck with a system of blocks and lines . The sail is pulled up or down, which makes it easier to recover, set and jibe a spinnaker or gennaker. When the sail is not in use, it remains stowed in the bag, which is slightly shorter than the side leafs of the respective sail .
