Bergswick is a district of the city of Rees in the Kleve district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1969 Bergswick was an independent parish in what was then Rees County .
geography
Bergswick is located about two kilometers east of the Rees core city between the Reeser Altrhein and the Reeser Meer, a large former dredging hole. The district, which emerged from an old peasantry , is only very sparsely populated. The former parish Bergswick had an area of 3.8 km².
history
Bergswick formed since the 19th century a rural community in the mayorry Rees-Land (since 1928 Amt Rees Land ) in the Rees district in the administrative district of Düsseldorf . On July 1, 1969, Bergswick was incorporated into Rees Town by the Rees County Reorganization Act .
