Bernadette Conrad

Bernadette Conrad (* 1963 in Stuttgart ) is a German journalist and writer.

Life

Conrad studied German and Romance languages ​​in Bonn and Konstanz from 1983 to 1988. In 1991 she graduated as a social worker and worked in alcohol and drug counseling. From 1995 she worked as a freelance journalist from Konstanz, mainly for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung , Die Zeit and the Swiss radio SRF. From 2000 to 2003 Conrad lived as a foreign journalist for various Swiss media in Italy, and in 2013 as Writer in Residence at the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles. She has lived in Berlin since 2016.

Bernadette Conrad was best known for her literary travel reports and portraits as well as a biography of the American writer Paula Fox .
