Bernd Ziegmann

Bernd Ziegmann is a former German basketball player .

career

In 1976 Ziegmann moved from the youth of 1. FC Bamberg to the men's team of the club and from then on played in the basketball league . In 1979 he was relegated with the Upper Franconians from the top German league.

In the 1981/82 season, Ziegmann scored 299 points, making him second best scorer in the team after the American Kennith Sweet , who was promoted to the Bundesliga again. Also in the 1982/83 game year, in which he missed relegation in the Bundesliga, he was the top performers of Bamberg and with 227 points during the season third-best thrower in Upper Franconia.

In the spring of 1984, Ziegmann and the Bamberg team managed to immediately return to Germany's top league. He played for 1. FC Bamberg until 1986.
