Bernhard Meyer (doctor)

Bernhard Meyer (born March 9, 1962 in Augsburg ) is a German doctor and has held the chair for neurosurgery at the Technical University of Munich since 2006. He is also director of the neurosurgical clinic of the Technical University of Munich at the Klinikum rechts der Isar .

Career

After studying medicine in Padua / Italy and at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg , Meyer initially completed stays abroad at Northwestern University, Chicago and at State University, Brooklyn, New York. In 1989 he passed the state examination and received his doctorate in the same year. He completed his training as a neurosurgeon in Tübingen, Duisburg and Bonn with stays abroad in Zurich and Phoenix (Arizona), which ended in 1995. In 1999 he also completed his habilitation in Bonn and was appointed professor of neurosurgery there in 2001. He has held a chair at the Technical University of Munich since 2006.
