Bernhard Spaan
Bernhard Spaan (born April 25, 1960 in Bottrop ) is a German physicist and professor at the Technical University of Dortmund .
Life
He began his physics studies in 1979 at the University of Dortmund, received his diploma in 1985 and received his doctorate three years later on the subject of “Investigations into the rare decays of the τ lepton and the mass of the τ neutrino ”. Until 1993 he worked as a research assistant at the University of Dortmund, from 1993 to 1995 he worked as a Senior Research Associate at McGill University in Montréal and in 1996 he accepted a position at the Technical University of Dresden , where he taught as a professor of experimental hadron physics . In 2004 he returned to the University of Dortmund (now Technical University Dortmund ) as a professor and was Dean of the Faculty of Physics from 2008 to 2014.

- October 31, 1989: Benno Orenstein Prize for his work in the field of high energy physics.
