Bernhard von Zabeltitz (historically Bernhard Zcabiltitz ; † after 1501 ) was the owner of Vetschau in Niederlausitz .

Life

Bernhard was probably a descendant of Christoph or Hans Zabeltitz, who were mentioned as the owner of Vetschau in 1450. In 1471 he was enfeoffed with his brother Heinz and other brothers by the Niederlausitzer Landvogt with Vetschau. In 1477 Bernhard, Heinz and four brothers were sentenced in Senftenberg for murdering and beating poor people and citizens . In 1501 he acted as guarantor for Christoph von Maltitz in Finsterwalde .

Bernhard von Zabeltitz was married to Margarete Schütz. His descendants (or relatives) were numerous brothers who fought several villages in the area.
