Berrondo is a town in Uruguay .
geography
Berrondo is located in the Florida Department in Sector 12 . The place is located in the western part of the department a few kilometers east of the border formed by the Arroyo de la Virgen to the neighboring district of San José . Nestled between Cuchilla del Pintado in the west and Cuchilla de Santa Lucía in the east, Berrondo is surrounded by the departmental capital Florida in the northeast and 25 de Mayo in the southwest. Not far to the east flows the Río Santa Lucía Chico .
Infrastructure
The Montevideo - Paso de los Toros railway line runs through the town .
