Bertie Higgins

Bertie Higgins (* 8. December 1944 in Tarpon Springs as Elbert Joseph Higgins ) is an American musician.

Career

Bertie Higgins was a ventriloquist in his youth and then started playing the drums . He became a drummer with The Roemans , the backing band of Tommy Roe , with whom he toured worldwide. In 1968, Higgins separated from the Roemans and returned to Tarpon Springs. He began writing his own songs and released the album Just Another Day in Paradise in 1982 . The single Key Largo reached the top ten of the American charts. The other albums and singles from Higgins could no longer build on the success of 1982. It remained a one-hit wonder .

His son Damian is also active in the music business under the stage name Dieselboy (* 1972). As a DJ, musician and producer he is dedicated to the drum and bass genre.
