Vocational training center of the German insurance industry

The vocational training center of the German insurance industry e. V. (BWV) is an off -, further education and training institution of employers in the private insurance industry in Germany, and therefore an education policy professional association . Its seat is in Munich . According to its own information, the BWV education association had 240 insurance companies as members as of May 2016, and the education association represents and organizes training and further education for around 200,000 employees.

history

The General Association of the Insurance Industry (later the General Association of the German Insurance Industry) founded the Committee for Young Talent and Vocational Training Issues in 1949, which was renamed the Vocational Training Committee of the Insurance Industry in 1952. The Association of the German Insurance Industry and the Employers' Association of Insurance Companies in Germany set up the insurance industry's vocational training center in 1966.

In 1989 the company was reorganized into the vocational training center of the German Insurance Industry. V. as an educational institution in the legal form of a registered association.

tasks

The BWV Bildungsverband works together with the social partners to create a consistent training and further education system for employees in the industry. He also represents the insurance industry in education policy at European level.
