Entry-level school

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The entry-level vocational school in the state of Lower Saxony is the name of a vocational school at which the vocational preparation year (BVJ) or the basic vocational training year (called entry-level career class in Lower Saxony) can be completed. The entry-level vocational school must be attended as part of compulsory schooling by all students who have not found an apprenticeship position after completing general school. The entry-level school basically lasts one year and is designed for full-time.

Entry-level vocational schools are set up at most public and a few free vocational schools in Lower Saxony. Other federal states have set up similar types of schools, such as the young working class in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
