Young working class

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, a young working class or JoA class is a form of schooling for young people of compulsory education at regular (vocational) schools .

Typically, young people (so-called young people without a training place (JoA) or young workers ) who have not started any training and have not registered for any other form of vocational training, but are still required to attend vocational school, are admitted to these classes .

As a rule, these young people then have to take part in school lessons one day a week, but do not acquire a special school leaving certificate . The aim of the young working class is only that the pupils can do their compulsory schooling.

An alternative to the young working class is e.g. B. the vocational preparation year (BVJ).
