The professional association for online education e. V. (bvob) is a German professional association in the legal form of a registered association with the purpose of representing the interests of its members and networking the members with one another. As a professional contact for quality and competence, the bvob promotes the development of quality criteria, competence grids, job profiles as well as training and further education in online education.
The seat of the association is Overath and the office is in Langen (Hessen) . In various working groups, topics in the field of e-learning are developed and made available to the public in the form of articles and guidelines.
Members
The members come from the different areas of online education - training, e-learning, moderation / e-moderation , learning support, tele-tutoring as well as advice , conception and learning media development (see media didactics ). Numerous pioneers and active people from online education and online moderation from German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) network in the association.
The association has three types of ordinary membership: individual members, corporate members and university members. This enables the networking of freelance and employed players in online education and provides a comprehensive picture of the various forms of online education.
history
The association was founded in 2009 in Cologne. It emerged from the teletutor network led by Gabriela Pflüger. Some experts in the industry were already united in a network here. Some of them acted as founding members for the new association. Even then, the aim was to ensure networking and qualification through a stronger organization.
Working groups
In order to keep pace with the rapid development of technology in the area of online learning, special working groups create an overview and discuss the didactic use of technology in online learning scenarios. Another focus is the various job descriptions and the development of competence grids based on the DQR . Current working groups: Virtual classrooms and job profiles .
