Eliminated and accompanied , Latin comitatum , French accote , engl. accoste or besided , ital. accostato , low . begeleed , are heraldic terms and describe the position of heraldic figures in a heraldic shield or field in relation to the main character .

There can be two or more heraldic figures in the heraldic field. The former figure (main figure) of the other smaller figures beseitet . Figures are arranged in the arms on only one side to the main character, then it is in the crest description by its location with the left or right beseitet respectively beseitend to describe. If two secondary characters are arranged on either side, special accompaniment is used. The term alternates with a larger number of figures between accompanied and accompanied.

The heraldic figures to be eliminated can be different.
