Besmir Banushi (born July 24, 1988 in Vlora ) is an Albanian road cyclist.
Athletic career
Besmir Banushi won the Trofej Sajamskih Gradova in the junior class in 2006 , and he won the bronze medal in the road race at the Balkan Championships in Novi Pazar . The following year he was successful in a stage of the Tour of Albania and, as in the previous year, was second overall. At the Balkan Championships in Bitola in 2008 Banushi won the gold medal in the elite road race. From 2010 to 2012 he won the Tour of Albania three times in a row . In 2011 he was Albanian runner-up in road racing, and the following year he finished third. In 2012 he also won the Tour of Kosovo . In 2015 and 2017 he was second in the Albanian time trial championship and third in the road race. In 2019 he started in the road race of the European Road Championships , but did not finish.
