Besteiros is a place and a former municipality in northern Portugal .
Besteiros belongs to the Amares district in the Braga district . The community had an area of 2.02 km² and 576 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Besteiros, Ferreiros and Prozelo were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Ferreiros, Prozelo e Besteiros .
