Bet Arje-Ofarim

Bet Arje-Ofarim is an Israeli settlement in the northern West Bank . The settlement is located 32 km north of Jerusalem and 25 km east of Tel Aviv . 4842 settlers live there (as of 2016).

history

Bet Arje settlement was founded in 1981. Since 1989, the place has also been the administrative seat of the municipal administration of the same name . In 2004 Bet Arje merged with Ofarim. Bet Arje was named after the Knesset member Arje Ben-Elieser . In 2011, 100 houses were built in Bet Arje and the construction of a road between Bet Arje and Ofarim was approved. In 2016 the construction of further houses in Bet Arje and Ofarim was approved.
