Bethany Hospital

Various institutions of Protestant denomination are referred to as the Bethanien hospital or clinic . The name is derived from the biblical place Bethanien . Hospitals of the name are or were to be found in the following locations:

  • Breslau, Bethanien Deaconess Hospital in Breslau
  • Dortmund, Bethanien Hospital Dortmund-Hörde (1869–2015); today the Ortho Clinic Dortmund
  • Hamburg, Bethanien Hospital , founded in 1879 as the Evangelical Methodist Sisters' Home Bethanien, in 1893 the hospital was rebuilt in Martinistraße in Hamburg-Eppendorf. Went up in 2011 in the Agaplesion Diakonieklinikum Hamburg
  • Leipzig, Bethanien Hospital (1937–1994), today the St. Elisabeth outpatient rehabilitation center
  • Liegnitz, Bethanien Deaconess Hospital
  • Schweidnitz, Bethanien Hospital
