Resource requirements

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As resource requirements in the work study defined REFA the resource capacity that is qualitatively and quantitatively required to perform work tasks. It is described by the type and number of resources required as well as the point in time (date) and the duration of the requirement, and in the case of non-location-specific resources, the location of use.

If the available capacity on the equipment ( equipment inventory ) permanently deviates from the equipment requirement, the capacity must be adjusted by releasing equipment or procuring equipment. In addition to purchasing additional equipment, leasing and renting are further options. A resource exemption can also take place through a shutdown in addition to scrapping or sale.

Short-term (operational) measures to coordinate available and required capacities are called capacity leveling (see also: work preparation ). A distinction is made here between technological and temporal comparison.

Capacity leveling by reallocating time

Technological comparison through:

  1. Outsourcing (of the order)
  2. time shift
  3. Order extension
  4. Switching to other (less suitable) equipment
  5. Combination of stretching and dodging

Temporal comparison by:

  1. Overtime and extra shifts
  2. Overtime on Sundays and public holidays
  3. Temporary staff
  4. Outsourcing of tasks
