Bettina Schöndorf-Haubold

Bettina Schöndorf-Haubold (* 1972 ) is a German legal scholar. Since 2015 she has held the chair for public law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen .

Career

After studying law from 1992 to 1998 in Freiburg, Montpellier (License) and Heidelberg, she also passed her first state examination in 1998. In the same year she began working as a research assistant at the Institute for German and European Administrative Law at the University of Heidelberg with Eberhard Schmidt-Aßmann , which lasted until 2001. From then on, she completed her legal preparatory service in Rhineland-Palatinate as well as in Frankenthal, Stuttgart and Luxembourg with the scientific service of the European Court of Justice .

In 2003, Schöndorf-Haubold received his doctorate on the subject of "The Structural Funds of the European Community - Legal Forms and Procedures of European Association Administration" and in 2004 passed the second state examination in law. From 2004 to 2010 she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for German and European Administrative Law at the University of Heidelberg, and in 2005/2006 she was given a teaching position at the University of Cergy-Pontoise (France).

In 2009 and 2010 Schöndorf-Haubold received a grant from the German Research Foundation. After she represented the junior professorship for public law at the University of Giessen, she took it over completely in 2010 and retained it until her habilitation in 2015. In the same year she was appointed to the chair for public law at the University of Giessen.
