Bettina Schmitz

Bettina Schmitz (born July 24, 1948 in Hamburg ) is a German Egyptologist .

Bettina Schmitz studied Egyptology, ancient history, cuneiform writing, and prehistory and early history in Hamburg and Heidelberg. In 1975 she received her doctorate from the University of Hamburg , where she then worked as a research assistant. From 1978 to 2012 she worked as a curator at the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum in Hildesheim .
