Library journal
The library journal of the Christian-Weise-Bibliothek Zittau with the subtitle Source research, historical, bibliographical and biographical things from Zittau and Upper Lusatia appeared as a scientific journal of the Christian-Weise-Bibliothek Zittau.
The aim of this publication was to bring the old book and script art in Zittau, the bibliographies and biographies of Upper Lusatians and the history of the area into the light of the public. This journal should serve to publish scientific research results on the topics of archives and libraries. Special attention was paid to the history of the sources, which was neglected, especially between 1945 and 1990. Primary and secondary sources were presented. Reviews, presentations of interesting Zittaviensia and the reprint of old sources rounded off the content of this magazine.
The library journal was published quarterly in 30 individual issues between 1998 and 2003. With issue 30, publication was discontinued due to the privatization of the Christian-Weise library in the district's own culture and further education company, Löbau-Zittau. As the successor to the magazine, the Oberlausitzer Heimatblätter have been published by Oberlausitzer Verlag since 2004 .
