The Bielschowsky Society for Strabismus Research and Neuroophthalmology , named after the German ophthalmologist and strabologist Alfred Bielschowsky , is a medical society of doctors and scientists who research and treat strabismus , neuroophthalmological disorders such as eye paralysis and nystagmus , as well as their effects and sequelae such as amblyopia . One focus here is the regular implementation of advanced and advanced training events, specialist conferences and the publication of specialist articles. The society is also a link to other international strabological or interdisciplinary associations and societies and cultivates scientific exchange and communication.
