BigPark was a Canadian video game development studio .
history
BigPark was acquired by Microsoft in 2009 , a few months before the announcement of Kinect (then known as "Project Natal"). BigPark's first project was Joy Ride , a casual racing game that uses Xbox Live avatars and Kinect. The game was originally intended to be released as a free Xbox Live arcade game, but was renamed "Kinect Joy Ride" and became a launch title for Kinect. BigPark later got involved in providing interactive content. When Microsoft left Kinect around 2016, BigPark and several other studios that were part of the Kinect effort were integrated into the company.
