Balʿarab ibn Sultan ( Arabic بلعرب بن سلطان بن سيف بن مالك بن أبي العرب اليعربي, DMG Balʿarab b. Sulṭān b. Saif b. Mālik b. Abī l-ʿArab al-Yaʿarubī , also Bilʿarab , Bilʿarub ; † 1692 ) was Imam of Oman from around 1680 to 1692.

Balʿarab ibn Sultan was elected Imam of the Ibadites after the death of his father Sultan ibn Saif I (1649–1668) . He used the economic prosperity of the empire to promote culture and science. He also built a new residence with Jabrin at Bahla. Although the fighting with Portugal continued ( Diu was conquered in India in 1670 ), tensions arose within the Yaruba dynasty when Saif ibn Sultan , a brother of Balʿarab, sought to take power. Saif pushed through his election as imam during Balʿarab's lifetime. The dynastic conflicts culminated in a civil war and the fall of Balʿarab (1692). Balʿarab died in captivity after the capture of Jabrin by Saif. Saif ibn Sultan I (1692–1708) was now able to rule in Oman.
