description

The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution attributes the Heilbronn Association to political Salafism, whose representatives like to do missionary work. However, unlike jihadist Salafists, they rejected violence.

The association has contacts to leading figures in the Salafist scene, such as those of the Al-Mushinin Mosque in Beuel near Bonn. The association founded a "High Council" in Heilbronn. The association's imam, Neil ibn Radhan, a Saudi-born Islamist preacher, translated into German a legal opinion by Muhammad al-Uthaimin , who is regarded as one of the main religious figures in Salafist circles , in 2009 .

The goals of the association are to maintain the Islamic "religious foundations", to establish institutes for the training of imams and preachers and to provide experts in the Islamic Sharia.

The "Heilbronn Salafists" have connections all over Germany. The Salafists from Heilbronn were invited to an Islamic seminar in Bonn in May 2012, where there were numerous riots between the police and Salafists on May 9, 2012, in which some police officers were stabbed. Participants in the Islamic seminar were leading figures of the Salafist scene. The seminar took place in the Al-Mushinin Mosque in Beuel, a district of Bonn, a Salafist stronghold.
