The portrait of Dr. Bircher-Benner is a listed bronze bust of the Swiss doctor and nutritionist Maximilian Oskar Bircher-Benner , who is considered a pioneer of whole foods .

The work created by the Frankfurt sculptor Georg Krämer and unveiled in 1965 is located in the Bad Homburg spa gardens in the Bad Homburg district of Kirdorf . The bust standing on a base made of shell limestone is a foundation of the “Society for Health Culture”, of which Bircher-Benner was chairman.

The inscription reads: “Dr. Med. Max Oskar Bircher-Benner, the father of the new nutrition theory 1867–1939 ”.
