The picture stones correspond to shape 3 - right

The two picture stones Bro Stainkällingar , also Stainkällingarna - ( German  "Steinweiber" ) stand in a field on Länsväg 148 from Visby to Fårösund on the Swedish island of Gotland . Like the picture stones from Änge , they are still in the place where they were originally set up, between Bro and Tingstäde , near Bro's church .

The picture stones are about 4.5 m apart; they are each about 2.0 m high and 1.0 m wide. The shape of the stones from the 8th century, the end of the Viking Age picture stone production, is "blind", the drawings carved on the east side are weathered by wind and weather. Another stone was found east of the two, while two others that were in the same field have disappeared. Three out of six fragments of other stones (registration no. Bro 24) can be seen in the church of Bro.

The name of the stone pair is taken from a local legend.
