Wayside shrine in Oberkessach

The wayside shrine Bieringer Weg in Oberkessach , a district of the Schöntal community in Hohenlohekreis in Baden-Württemberg , stands on the embankment of the 1046 road.

The wayside shrine (wayside shrine no: 260020) consists of a stepped base, a pillar shaft and an attachment with a cast relief depicting Jesus on the cross , below which Mary , the apostle John and Mary Magdalene can be seen.

The inscription reads:

“Donated by CARL OTT geb. January 6, 1824, died December 10, 1852. "
