Bildtstar is a potato variety from the Netherlands . The round tubers have a reddish skin. The potatoes are predominantly waxy, their ripeness varies between medium early and medium late.
The name of the breed is derived from Het Bildt . They were first grown in this municipality in the Dutch province of Friesland .
