Educational partnership

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Education partnership describes the relationship management of child-related professions or institutions with third parties such as parents or companies .

Educational partnership with parents ( parent work )

As a generic term for educational partnerships of child-related professions or institutions with parents, the term parent work has developed in the German-speaking area .

Education partnership with companies

The cooperation of schools and universities with companies is also referred to as an educational partnership . Based on the experiences in Baden-Württemberg, such cooperations are increasingly being promoted and expanded throughout Germany.

Baden-Württemberg

The basis is the "Agreement on the expansion of educational partnerships between schools and companies in Baden-Württemberg", which was concluded on November 4, 2008 between the state government and representatives of companies and their associations. Every secondary general education school in Baden-Württemberg should develop and maintain a company partnership. The cooperation can also be entered into with an association of several companies and with vocational institutions.

The aim of the partnerships is to strengthen economic as well as scientific and technical education, to show the students the diversity of the professional world, to provide guidance in finding a career and to facilitate the transition to training, studies and work.

Every educational partnership is based on a written agreement in which the partners define certain cooperation activities. The measures must be practical and compatible with the subject of the partner company and with the curriculum of the respective class levels. For example, application training could be offered in German in the eighth grade of secondary school. Internships in companies are also conceivable.

The partnerships are concluded for several years. The projects are integrated into the curriculum for this purpose. Agreements that go beyond the student-related projects are possible.

The educational partnerships are institutionalized through the IHK . She supports you in finding interested cooperation partners, accompanies and moderates the coordination process of the partners and formulates cooperation agreements. Demand-oriented support for the cooperation is also possible.

A large number of educational partnerships have been established in Baden-Württemberg, most of which were mediated by the IHK service centers.

Bavaria

In Bavaria there has been an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce Munich and Upper Bavaria for educational partnerships since 2016. The basis is a guideline for establishing and expanding educational partnerships.

The goals are:

  • Strengthening economic education and entrepreneurial thinking and acting
  • Strengthening of educational offers in the MINT area (mathematics-computer science-natural science-technology)
  • Support in the transition from school to training, studies and work
  • Improvement of the training maturity as well as the training and study ability of the students
