The Friedrich Binder GmbH & Co. KG , founded by Friedrich Binder (* 1847 in Mönsheim , † November 1933) is a German jewelry manufacturer based in Mönsheim in Baden-Wuerttemberg and a family, which is run in the fourth generation of the founding family . Jewelry chains have been produced there since 1910 .

history

The company was founded in March 1910 in Mönsheim by the chain maker Friedrich Binder. For more than half a century, the manufacture of jewelry chains was dominated by handwork and various types of chains were processed for the neighboring Pforzheim jewelry industry. Since the 1950s, Ernst Binder enabled the company to handle the entire manufacturing process from the raw material to the finished piece of jewelry in-house. The direct contact with wholesalers created the possibility of serving the ideas and wishes of customers with market-driven products much more quickly.

At the beginning of the 1960s, Klaus and Fritz Binder, the third generation, recognized the development that was emerging as markets were opening up around the world. With the determined expansion of a high-tech machine park, the company is meeting global challenges and is becoming a high-tech company with over a thousand special machines today.

The 1990s and the previous decade were shaped by efforts to position the company in the USA and the Asian markets. Today Binder FBM exports to over 50 countries. In 2009, the takeover of Germany's leading hoop earrings production took place , giving Binder an important market position in this product category as well.

The FBM hallmark stands for "Friedrich Binder Mönsheim". In 2014 sales amounted to EUR 28.8 million.
