Biotech Research and Innovation Center
The Biotech Research and Innovation Center ( BRIC ) is a research facility of the University of Copenhagen . It was founded in 2003 by the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation as an elite research center for biomedicine and employs around 200 people.
The focus of the scientific work is on research and control of epidemics and cancer .
The institution publishes its own magazine, which is published in both Danish and English. In addition, research results of the employees are published, among others in specialist journals such as Nature and Cell .
The BRIC regularly organizes international events such as congresses (e.g. the Epigenetics and Stem Cells Conference ), symposia (such as Chromatin, Replication and Chromosomal Stability Conference ) and seminars.
Professor Kristian Helin is the director of the facility .
