The Biotta AG provides biological vegetable and fruit juices and smoothies ago. It is based in Tägerwilen ( Thurgau , Switzerland ).

history

"Biotta" emerged from the "Gemüsebau AG Tägerwilen" founded in 1931, where organic farming has been practiced since 1951 . In 1957 the first organic carrot juice was bottled and sold in a pharmacy in Zurich. Organic pioneer Hugo Brandenberger took over the juice factory in 1961 and named it "Biotta". Until then, he only wanted to offer seasonal vegetables all year round, as juice. In 2005, due to age, he sold his life's work to the juice manufacturer Thurella from eastern Switzerland . Clemens Rüttimann has been the company's managing director since 2011.

Biotta offers almost 30 organic juices and organic smoothies. Outside Switzerland, the juices are sold in 40 other countries, the market share in Switzerland is around 70%.
