Bir Uttom

The Bir Uttom (German: “ The excellent hero ”) is the second highest war award of the armed forces of Bangladesh after the Bir Sreshtho . The award was introduced on December 15, 1973. It was awarded to a total of 69 freedom fighters for outstanding bravery in the face of the enemy in the Bangladesh war . The third highest war award is the Bir Bikrom , the fourth highest is the Bir Protik .
