Birgit Steinborn

Birgit Steinborn (born March 26, 1960 in Berlin ) is a German general works council chairwoman and deputy chairwoman of the supervisory board of Siemens AG .

Life

In 1978 she began an apprenticeship at Siemens in Berlin as an industrial clerk . Between 1982 and 1988 she studied sociology . In 1990 she became a member of the works council and from 1996 chairwoman of the works council in Hamburg. In 2008 she became Deputy General Works Council Chair. She has been a member of the Siemens AG Supervisory Board since January 24, 2008 . In February 2014 she became the first chairman of the general works council and on January 27, 2015 she was re-elected to the supervisory board at the general meeting of Siemens AG and elected as deputy chairwoman by the supervisory board.
