The remains of the abandoned Birgkögei castle complex (also called Burgeck ) are in the Niedernsill municipality in the Zell am See district of Salzburg .

The facility is located in the Jesdorf district on a ridge on the right bank of the Mühlbach below the Burgeck farm. Here is a three-way hill, on the first level of which a four-sided system and a wall were found. The mortar stone masonry suggests a medieval building. In the direction of the Mühlbach, the remains of a wall 25 meters long were found. Part of the wall should have slipped into the stream. Towards the hamlet of Mühlbach, the complex was protected by palisade walls. In addition to medieval finds, shards from the Bronze Age were also secured.

Written sources that could provide information about the owner's history have not yet been found.
