The Birmingham Thunderbolts , mostly called Bolts by fans , were an American football team from Birmingham , Alabama . They were represented in the XFL in the Eastern Division together with the Chicago Enforcers , Orlando Rage and the New York / New Jersey Hitmen and ended the only season played with two wins and eight losses. It was the worst result in the league. The team colors were purple, yellow and white.
The Thunderbolts played on Legion Field and were coached by Gerry DiNardo , who trained before and after at various universities. The Bolts had their real names on their backs instead of nicknames, as was the case with other XFL teams.
