Birseckbahn (company)

The Birseckbahn , abbreviated to BEB , was a railway company in Switzerland . The Arlesheim- based company owned and from 1916 also operator of the Basel – Dornach railway line, which opened in 1902 . In the urban area of ​​Basel, the BEB cars also used the Basel tram network . The company merged on January 1, 1974 with the Birsigthalbahn (BTB), the Basel-Aesch tramway (TBA) and the Basellandschaftliche Ueberlandbahn (BUeB) to form the then newly founded Baselland Transport AG (BLT).
