Birutė Valionytė

Birutė Valionytė (born October 7, 1956 in Girstakiškės , Rokiškis district municipality ) is a forester and former politician .

Life

After graduating from the Second Middle School in Biržai in 1974 , she graduated from A. Kvedaras Forest Technology Center in Kaunas in 1977 and in 1983 the forest science degree from LŽŪA . From 1974 to 1978 she worked as Kirdonys' deputy district forester in the Biržai Forestry Office and from 1978 to 1990 head of arboriculture. From 1990 to 1992 she was deputy to the Supreme Soviet Seimas . In 1993 she worked in the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania and until 1994 for the non-governmental organization "Pro Patrija". From 1994 to 1997 she was employed in the Ministry of Transport of Lithuania , and from 1997 in the General Forestry Office of Lithuania.
