Bis Music is a Cuban independent label based in Havana , which was founded in 1996 by Darcy Fernández and Ela Ramos and forms part of ARTEX . The company also takes on the Cuban distribution of some foreign labels and is the island's largest media wholesaler.
Musicians with their own publications on Bis Music include Adalberto Álvarez , Haila Mompié , NG La Banda and Yumurí y sus Hermanos . Bis Music has also released numerous compilations. La Rumba Soy Yo , an overview of Afro-Cuban rumba , won the 2001 Latin Grammy for Best Folklore Album.
