The Bisben is a dog breed from India , Himalaya, not recognized by the FCI .

Origin and history

The bisben Shepherd is related to other Himalayan races, but it is sometimes misdiagnosed as type of Tibetan Mastiff viewed. A striking feature of this breed is the wolf-like head, which clearly distinguishes it from the Tibetan mastiff.
There are numerous theories about the origin of the Bisben breed, the most popular of which is that it was the result of mating between wolves and shepherd dogs.

description

Its muscular body is covered with a thick, dense medium coat, making this breed extremely weatherproof, adapted to the harsh conditions of the Himalayas. The coat color is black with large white markings on the feet and chest, but wolf gray and three-colored dogs are also found in some places. The average size is 65 cm.

Essence

Powerful and fierce, this rare Himalayan molosser is primarily used as a herd guard and driver, but it can also make a good watchdog and hunting companion. Like many shepherd dogs who guard the herds on their own, he can be very aggressive towards strangers and selflessly defend their belongings. His training must therefore be carried out very carefully.
