The Bismarck still picture on the 98 m high Aschberg south of Ascheffel provides Otto von Bismarck represents (1815-1898).

The still image is 7 m high. It was produced by the Berlin metal sculptor Gustav Lind in copper driving based on the design of the sculptor Adolf Brütt .

It was originally located in a niche of the Bismarck Tower, inaugurated on August 4, 1901, on the Knivsberg near Aabenraa in North Schleswig , about 100 km further north. In 1919 it was stored in Schleswig at the instigation of the Knivsberg Society in the run-up to the referendum . It was in an Ascheffel barn for many years.

On the Aschberg, the monument was on the Nordmarkfest (the replacement for the Knivsbergfest ) on 6/7. Inaugurated September 1930.
