Bisso na Bisso

Bisso Na Bisso (German: between us or between us in Lingála ) is a French-speaking musician collective of rappers and singers with roots in the Republic of the Congo , which was founded in 1999. The group consists of Ben-J (from Les Neg'Marrons ), Lino and Calbo (from Ärsenik ), DOC TMC and G Kill (from 2Bal ), Mystik and the only woman M'Passi initiated by the French rapper Passi .

Act

The group's first album, Racines (German: Roots ), combines hip hop with African rhythms and sounds such as rumba , zouk and soukous . Prominent African musicians such as Koffi Olomide , Papa Wemba , Ismaël Lô , Kassav and Monique Seka appear as guest musicians on the album .

Bisso Na Bisso have put a lot of energy into organizing humanitarian aid for the Congo and other African countries. In addition to their humanitarian aid, they have also criticized African politicians with their texts. In Dans la peau d'un chef they criticize the government's corruption with the exemplary line of text: "I pray for the development of my country that is falling into decay / believe me I swear to gorge myself ..."

Members

Bisso Na Bisso often work with well-known artists from the Ndombolo and Soukous genres , including Papa Wemba, Lokua Kanza and Koffi Olomide or Franklin Boukaka and Michel Alibo .
